Thinking Forever

She was searching for her ‘forever’

Forever where she went

Forever she kept looking

For a ‘forever’ that won’t end

Forever she kept thinking

If she could find something that’s forever

Forever she kept wanting

For things to leave her never

Forever she ignored

The joy that’s here and now

As she kept on thinking of that,

Which was ‘forever’ no more.

  1. Serid says:

Our lifespans are so little as compared to age of Human species, Earth and other cosmic things! And even in our brief duration, we realize(inevitably) that ‘nothing is forever’.

Rather than despising change, wanting pleasant things to be forever, we should learn to embrace change. This way we can have a very wide variety of experiences during our brief lifespan.

    “Forever she kept wanting

For things to leave her never”

“Whenever she kept letting things to leave her,
She understood that she was just making space for things that are newer” 😉

    Nice poem!
